Wie wir das letzte Mal schon festgestellt haben, w\u00fcrden die Saudis dieses Projekt nicht vorstellen, wenn sie einen offenen Konflikt mit dem Iran im Sinn h\u00e4tten. Dieses Projekt ist vor allem das konkrete Symbol f\u00fcr den Wunsch nach Zukunft, nach Modernit\u00e4t, nach Normalit\u00e4t im Nahen und Mittleren Osten. Durch dieses Projekt kann bekr\u00e4ftigt werden, dass die arabische Welt etwas anderes produzieren kann als Intoleranz, Fanatismus und Gewalt. Dies ist eine wesentliche Botschaft, um die Bedingungen f\u00fcr die R\u00fcckkehr des Friedens in der Region zu schaffen, aber auch um der Stigmatisierung, ja sogar der Verfolgung der islamischen Bev\u00f6lkerungen in der ganzen Welt Einhalt zu gebieten. Diese wird verursacht durch ihre (sehr spezielle) Radikalisierung und wir sehen sie insbesondere in Indien, in Burma, in Europa, in Russland, in China, in Afrika \u2026 Die Wiege der islamischen Welt hat die Pflicht, einen modernen Islam zu schaffen, der positiv zu den weltweiten Entwicklungen beitr\u00e4gt.
