Lithium is essential for the production of electronic and IT equipment, making it one of the most strategic resources in today&#8217;s economy. The trend towards market concentration is therefore continuing, and looks set to continue, given the investment plans announced by Rio Tinto (remember, Chinalco is also a shareholder).
