China 2030: A new economic world order shaped by AI

The transformation of the global landscape is no longer simply a matter of Chinese technological or economic dominance. We are witnessing the emergence of a new world order structured by China, in which technology is just one of the many threads in a complex web woven with remarkable strategic precision. This silent revolution is not only redefining the balance of economic power, it is fundamentally restructuring the world order.[1]

The metamorphosis of China’s national image is the first act of this transformation[2]. The country is no longer positioning itself as the world’s factory, but as the architect of a new global economic order. The openness of its advances in AI, illustrated by projects such as DeepSeek, and the sharing of its technological innovations demonstrate a new diplomatic approach based on cooperation rather than confrontation. This strategy of openness masks a more complex reality: the creation of an ecosystem in which each innovation strengthens the whole system.

The need for expansion

WeChat is a perfect example of this ecosystem strategy. This super-application enables anyone to manage their entire online life through a single interface: digital identity, payments, banking, transport and access to countless services via integrated mini-programmes. The integration extends to Nio and BYD electric cars, which are connected to DouYin (Chinese TikTok[3]), enabling content to be shared directly from the dashboard. Each innovation strengthens the partners in the nebula.
