Euro-Britannia 2025 : A love-story…

Or rather “love at first sight”[1]. It may have escaped the attention of our readers, who tend to be more forward-thinking than the average citizens, that the United Kingdom is now preparing to temporarily entrust power to the Labour Party after seventeen years of Tory governance[2].

The remarkable aspect of British democracy is that you can predict the next government almost a year in advance. It’s quite surprising that the next Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, was already meeting with Emmanuel Macron last September to discuss the future of EU-UK relations[3]. Additionally, in September, he held talks with Justin Trudeau during his visit to Canada[4].
